Late Amjad Khan’s son Shadaab Khan has come a long way since his debut as an actor in ‘Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat’ opposite Rani Mukherjee. He is now ready with his directorial debut, “Highway 203″, a thriller starring K.K. Menon and Perizaad Zorabian. Produced by Prince Dendona the movie is a small budgeted project.
The film, ready for release in February, was originally meant to feature Naseeruddin Shah and Tabu. Shadaab narrates his bitter experience with them, “Tabu showed great interest and then vanished without a trace! Shah one fine day got his secretary to inform me he isn’t doing the film, but that’s okay. The goodwill that my father generated died with him.”
However, Shadaab is very happy with the work of his lead pair. “I’m glad I got K.K. and Perizaad. K.K. is an astonishing actor and Perizaad, who plays a very bad aspiring actress, was a surprise,” says the young actor-turned director.
