• I don’t consciously do that but it always tends to end up there, on my sleeve. And I love the way I wear it. I wouldn’t have it in any other way.

Are you married or not?

When marriage happens, I will share it with everyone. I don’t believe in doing things behind closed doors.

You’re open about your relationship with Kareena...

• I don’t know if we have been particularly open but I don’t believe in being hypocritical, lying and hiding things. Nor do I believe in shouting from the rooftop. But I’d like people to know how seriously I take my relationship in order for them to take it seriously. I don’t want any kind of speculation about whether it’s on or not, that kind of filmi rubbish is not my scene. When I have someone in my life, why would I need to promote the image of being a single, available man?

Has your family met her?

• Yes, my parents think she is a wonderful girl.

People think you’re devoting too much time to your love life...

• I give a damn to what anybody thinks. That’s how I have always been. I’m in love and proud of it.

You’ll are described as the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie of India...

• I think we are much cooler. We are Saif and Kareena of the world, not the Brad and Angelina of India.

What drives you, love or work?

• Love, more than anything. Work is an integral part of it. In order to sustain love you need to work. I am doing that.

You give the impression of having lost ambition...

• Sometimes I feel I should have been more ambitious. But my priorities keep changing. At one point I struggled to get accepted, then I wanted to be successful, and now there’s the strong urge to be the best in my craft... which I think I am. But the more I realise these are not going to last, the more ambitious I am to achieve something special.

Aren’t you interested in the Indian Premiere League?

• I’m not taking much interest in the IPL, though dad and I had a chat about it. I think Shah Rukh’s got a mind-blowing business brain. He’s my inspiration. I hope I can pick up something from him. I love the way his mind works.

Saif praises Kareena's inner beauty

Bebo is the Queen Bee when it comes to the endorsement bandwagon too. Her list of ad campaigns are Globus, ICI paints, Head & Shoulders shampoo, Boroplus cream, and Citizen watches. Kareena is certainly going to work in Saif Ali Khan's productions. But Saif will have nothing to do with it.

Says the exhausted rocker-actor currently shooting for his only film on the floors. "It's entirely between Kareena and my business partner Dinesh Vijen.

There has been a verbal commitment between them for a couple of projects. Kareena and I don't discuss business. It's entirely the prerogative of the directors that we sign to cast whom they want.

Yes, I'd want me and Kareena to be in all our productions. But I'm not going to thrust our pair down producers' throats. Of course I'd like Kareena to be in every film I make. But my directors may have other plans."

That famous arm with the by-now mythic tattoo has been injured.

Saif's hand was bandaged while he played his rock gig in Bangalore and Mumbai. "Yeah, I injured my right hand while shooting in Greece.

I put a glass down too hard after a drink. And it broke in my hand. It's no big deal. The only thing is, I can't shake hands. Fortunately it didn't affect my guitar-playing."

Saif admits he's annoyed by people constantly asking him about the 'Kareena' tattoo. "On the other hand you can't really blame them. I suppose it's a big deal.

So people will talk and then stop talking about it after a while. You gotta remove yourself from the place of discomfort and look at it more dispassionately."

Saif was aware that the media would focus on the tattoo rather than his music. "Fortunately the audience appreciated the music. Look, the limelight is a moving spotlight. Once in a while you get caught in it."

Couldn't he have got the tattoo done in a less visible place? After all it's between Saif and his love.

"No. It's between me and my arm," he shoots back.

After the successful rock concerts would Saif like to cut an album? "No, can't sing beyond the lower notes. Right now I'm in Alibaug to finish the last schedule of Kunal Kohli's untitled film. Then we're done with this film."

I want Kareena in all my productions: Saif

Saif Ali Khan says although he would love to team up with girlfriend Kareena Kapoor in all his productions, he has made it clear that he has not been instrumental in getting her a role in his untitled venture.

The duo, along with Amrita Rao and her boyfriend Usman Afzaal were clubbing it at a lounger bar of a suburban five star hotel. It is here when witnesses noticed both Saif and Kareena grooving to a slow dance number on a couch. The atmosphere was very intense, as both Saif and Kareena’s eyes were fixated on each other, and both seemed very drunk. During this 5 minute thrill, Kareena kept calling Saif ‘Saifu’ in a deep voice.

A friend of Saif’s later said, “Kareena and he are madly in love. They just can’t jeep away from each other. They have surprised one and all by making their relationship not only stronger but more open.”

Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan were in the news all day yesterday. Albeit for different reasons. The pair is back in again for a sensuous song.

Explaining the situation of the song, Kat says, “Yes. I have shot Zara Zara in Race. My character is that of Saif’s secretary and she’s in love with him. He’s clueless about it and she’s trying to get his attention.”

The song has been choreographed by Bosco-Caesar. Kat, who has worn a sexy outfit in the song, adds, “The song demanded the kind of outfit we chose. I found this dress designed by Jenny Packham in Dubai who is a big name there and retails in many hi-fashion stores there. It’s a flowy, layered blue dress.”

Saif denies nikaah with Kareena

A Mumbai tabloid had reported that actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have married, but that Saif himself has denied rumour. CNN-IBN’s Rohit Khilnani gets us the word from the horse’s mouth.

Rohit Khilnani: Saif Ali Khan a newspaper got you married so was that news for you?

Saif Ali Khan: Yes, it was news for me and I would just like to clarify that I was smiling about it earlier but these kind of rumours are quite disturbing particularly for our families. I don't like some of the things that have been written. As it is, it has been disturbing that things have been written about us constantly and we don't like being in the press everyday for every small thing, but I suppose it is their territory.

However, when they bring families into it and start writing things like that, it is really disturbing and annoying. I would just like to clarify that we are not married, not engaged neither living together. We are right now both focusing on our careers as that is the most important thing in our lives.

Rohit Khilnani: So the whole thing about the ceremony and that some astrologer spoke to the paper was wrong.

Saif Ali Khan: I have spoken to the astrologer as well and he has strongly denied it. He says that words have been put into his mouth. I just heard him on TV and I think that he is enjoying a little bit of publicity, which I really don't blame him for. But he has made it quite clear that there has been marriage or engagement.

Rohit Khilnani: So when the two of you decide to get married then you will come out in the open.

Saif Ali Khan: We will definitely come out in the open and I look forward to that day. I am extremely committed and we are both very mush happy together. I would please like to request the press to give us a little bit of break and as it does get a little stressful for our families when things like this are written about us.

Saif denies marriage with Kareena

The 37-year-old actor wondered from where such reports came from and said that marriage was not on his agenda for the next few years as the 'most important' issue in the lives of both Saif and Kareena were their respective careers.

"First of all, I would just like to say it [media reports] is rubbish, completely untrue. We are not married, we are not engaged and we are not living together," Khan told CNN-IBN.

He also said the rumours were 'upsetting' their families.

Asked about his marriage plans, Khan replied, "Not for a few years at least, because right now, the most important thing in our lives are our careers and there is no time really to think about anything."

Khan entered into a relationship with the 27-year-old actress about four months ago after she split with Shahid Kapoor [Images].

Media reports said Khan had married Kareena at his new house in Laview Patni in Mumbai's posh Bandra locality in the presence of a cleric.

Has the Indian film industry’s most talked-about couple tied the knot? According to a Mumbai tabloid, Saif Ali Khan married girlfriend Kareena Kapoor in a hush-hush marriage solemnised on Wednesday.

The Mumbai Mirror carries a report that claims the nikah ceremony took place at Saif's residence in Bandra on Wednesday.

The tabloid, however, says Khan dismissed the news as a rumour and his mother - yester-year actress and Censor Board President - Sharmila Tagore has also denied the reports.

Thirty-seven-year-old is Saif started seeing and Kareena, 27, three months ago following the break-up between Kareena and her boyfriend-for-four-years, Shahid Kapur.

Saif and Kareena reportedly became “close” while shooting for their upcoming film Tashan, setting the grapevine abuzz.

It wasn't an ugly spat. There was no screaming or hysterics involved but it was very obvious to everyone present that the lovers were having a tiff.

A source says, "Bebo and Saif walked in together. She wasn't her usual perky self. She was moody and withdrawn. The couple kept to themselves in a corner, and were arguing about something. The situation took a turn for the worse after Bebo put on a buddy-buddy show with Salman Khan (soon after Katrina's exit from the party at 2.30am). Kareena and Karisma have always been extremely fond of him. Bebo went across the room to greet Sallu, and this irritated her Nawab beau.
Adds a source close to the couple, "Saif is a very possessive guy. He doesn't approve of Kareena's display of affection for other male actors. Also, there were lots of big stars at the party (Salman, SRK) and in a situation like that, Saif gets really insecure. It was very obvious that he was getting irritated with Bebo's interaction with the other macho men around."

The source continues, "It doesn't help that Saif doesn't have too many friends in the industry, while Bebo is friends with most actors."

According to an actress present at the party, Bebo is normally restrained around her new beau but that day she was in 'high spirits' and was holding Salman's hand while talking to him. At one point, she even cupped Sallu's face into her hands.

Saif was sitting across the room and watching this drama. The source continues, "Bebo kept ignoring Saif and chatting with Salman. When she finally went back to Saif's side, he ignored her. He refused to speak to her and was sulking. She kept asking him what was wrong and why he wasn't talking to her."

At some point in the night, the actress began to feel sick, and Saif took her home, but he didn't speak to her for two days after that and even ignored all her calls and SMSes.

Denials, denials

Saif chose to brush off the incident with, "The story is complete rubbish! Salman is my brother and the party was great fun." Kareena remained unavailable for comment but a source close to her states, "It's not true. Bebo didn't speak to Salman at all. She bumped into Salman on her way out with Saif."

To dub for an animation film is very challenging and very different from dubbing for a normal feature film. A lot of emotions have to be conveyed through the voice. And I think I’ve managed pretty well, given the fact that I’ve never dubbed for an animation character before.”

Only after the astrologer gave his go-ahead, did Saif take his relationship with Bebo to a new level.

Not just this, the astrologer also advised Saif to gift Kareena a ring of diamond and ruby to bring stability and longevity to the relationship.

Saif reportedly followed suit and gifted Kareena a diamond ring just a few days back.

In fact, so serious is Saif about making this relationship work that he has reportedly asked the astrologer if Bebo would make a successful life partner for him.

The families of the couple have already given their nod of approval to their affair. Bebo has also begun winning over Saif’s kids Ibrahim and Sara. And with planets also in favorable configuration, Saif and Bebo looks poised for a long-term relationship.
