Big B rushed to hospital

Amitabh Bachchan hurt himself during the shooting of Sujoy Ghosh’s Alladin at Mehboob Studios yesterday and immediately rushed to the hospital. He was doing some action sequences when he complained of severe back pain and right away he was taken to Lilavati hospital.

He did not require hospitalization but underwent various tests and was given several dosage of medicines. Instead of taking rest, Big B returned to the set and resumed shooting like a true professional. This is the second time that he was hurt on the set of Alladin while doing a stunt. Big B confirmed the incident and said that he had got little relief from his back pain and would complete his crucial work.

Amitabh Bachchan is playing a spirit in Alladin. The film has lots of stunts and the director wanted to recreate the magic of Zanjeer and Deewar in this film. He has also played a similar character in his upcoming flick Bhootnath. In Bhootnath, he is playing the role of a ghost who is a close friend of a child. Juhi Chawla will also be seen in a pivotal role. It is almost ready to hit the silver screen.

“I always get nervous working with Salman” - Kareena

On Tuesday, Kareena who's been on a vertiginous high since the release of Jab We Met finally started shooting a new film at Film City at the outskirts of Mumbai. Nervous like a debutante, Kareena said, "Although we've done Priyadarshan's Kyun Ki before, I always get nervous working with Salman. He was my sister's hero long before we were paired together. And now to be doing a film with him…"

The two were destined to serenade immortality in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani. But the film never happened. Kareena was also signed for Salman Khan's home production My Punjabi Nikaah. That never happened either.

Kareena chuckles in disbelief. "Our new film Main Aur Mrs Khanna is an intensely romantic film. I don't think Salman has done a pure love story like this before. Neither have I. Sohail is also in the film."

Interestingly, this is the first time in her distinguished career that Kareena will be working with a debutant director Prem Soni. "He's very talented. It wouldn't matter even if he wasn't. I'm doing it for Salman," says Kareena emotionally.

Saif-Kareena on a Love break

Celebrities hardly have time for themselves. They are either busy with their work or be haunted by media. Bollywood’s hot couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor seem to be facing the same problem. They are now flying off to Maldives for romantic break.

This lovebirds were busy either doing endorsements or shooting films. Saif was completely into the making of the recently released Race. Then the duo went on to work together for the much-hyped film Tashan. They were spotted together holding hands on several occasions but media speculations and rumour mills seem to have disturbed them. They are now planning to fly off to Maldives to spend quality time with each other.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are in love

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are in love. And unlike most Bollywood couples they aren’t worried about hiding their feelings for each other. In fact from what close friends of the couple tell us, we have gathered both are very serious about each other and Deepika is already a part of the Kapoor khandaan.

On Wednesday we spotted the two coming out of Royal China in suburban Mumbai. But what was interesting to note is that they were joined by Ranbir’s aunt Reema Kapoor. “Ranbir is very close to his aunt. She has been telling him that she wanted to meet Deepika but with all the traveling it wasn’t possible. As soon as they could get together, Ranbir called his aunt over for lunch with him and Reema and Deepika got on very well,” says a source.

In fact Deepika has been making quite a few rounds of the Kapoor household in Pali Hill of late.

“Ranbir and Deepika are inseparable these days. If they aren’t physically together they are perpetually on the phone. In face often Deepika drops in late at night after both have wrapped up their commitments.”

“Neetu Singh has also taken a lot to Deepika. Rishi and Neetu are very concerned about Ranbir’s career so from time to time they do let them know that it’s great to be in love…but at the same time they need to worry about their careers as well,” adds the source.

Ranbir and Deepika got together recently when they were filming for Siddharth Anand’s next Bachna Eh Haseenon in Australia. But what is quite hilarious is that when she left India for Australia she was arm candy to Yuvraj Singh whom she met on her first night Down Under. But she’s come back flaunting Ranbir on her arm… well all we have to say is Bachna Eh Ranbir!

Kareena Kapoor becomes the highest paid actress in Bollywood

Yes, Kareena Kapoor has reportedly become the highest paid actress in Bollywood overtaking the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Reports are that close on the heels of Rs 3.5 crore deal with Studio 18, Kareena has cracked yet another yet another Rs 3.5 crore venture with Asthavinayak Films.

The untitled film with Kareena and John Abraham will be directed by Rumi Jaffery.

Till now, Ash was the highest paid actress in the film industry. But that does not hold true anymore.

Ash gets paid Rs 3 crores for a film, while Kareena gets a neat Rs 3.5 crores and that makes her the highest paid actress in the industry today.

The success of Jab We Met and her performance, Kareena is worth every penny and filmmakers vouch for that.
