Bipasha Basu makes style statement in ‘Race’

Everybody is talking about Bipasha Basu! Her hot look, especially the eyes, in "Race" is a turn on. The smoky look of the extended eyeliner a la Sophia Loren has sparked off a trend not only in the film industry but also in the modelling circle. Bipasha said, "Eyes speak volumes! You don’t have to say anything at that point of time! It is the eyes that talk! They say, ‘Samjhnewale ko ishara kafi hai!’ Anaita has done a great job of styling me in ‘Race’ and trying the new make-up trend by extending my eye liner."

Yesteryear glamour icon Sharmila Tagore was the first actress to have started that trend.

Bipasha has also been open to experiments and is always willing to try out something new when it comes to her looks and character in films. "Race" gave her that chance.Also starring Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Katrina Kaif and Sameera Reddy, the high paced action thriller is set to hit the marquee March 21.

Bipasha Basu is a surprise package. Hiding behind that beautiful body and naughty eyes, is a razor-sharp brain quietly ticking away.
Just when everyone is getting ready to see her shapely self in sizzling style in Race, hotting it up with Saif Ali Khan, here she goes all sari-bindi-ethnic jewellery for her first Bangla film, Shawb Choritro Kalponik (All Characters are Fictitious). And who, pray, has directed Bipasha? Rituparno Ghosh himself.
If Jism was a tribute to her sex appeal, then Madhur Bhandarkar’s Corporate offered her the scope to show that she can do much more than just strut her stuff. TWF correspondent Shoma A. Chatterji spoke to her in Kolkata.
You are looking amazing in a sari. What is your own reaction to this radical image change?I am an actress. I should be prepared to step into any role that I choose to take on. Where does the question of ‘image’ come in, tell me?
As for the change in my looks, well, even my father was surprised and asked me � ‘where are your shorts?’ The ‘look’ depends entirely on the demands of the script and the character and not on who is going to portray the character. In Shawb Choritro Kalponik, I am playing Radhika, a Bengali housewife.

Bride and Bipasha?

The 29-year-old actress, who plays an NRI, who lives in Yorkshire along with her family, is in advanced talks with independent director Raza Mallal.

The story revolves around Jack a jilted lover of a Catholic priest. He settles for an arranged marriage with an Indian girl (Bipasha) in an attempt to avoid priesthood. But Jack has to acquaint himself with the culture, food and even Hindi before he reports to the mandap.

Anupam Kher will be seen playing Bipasha's father, and her other co-actors include Ross Kemp, Robert Hardy, Amanda Holden and Karen Shehnaz David.

Anupam Kher says, "I have given my letter of intent about working in the film. As far as Bipasha is concerned, I am aware that they were supposed to meet her when they had come to meet me. However, I have no clue if she is doing the film."

Bipasha Basu remained unavailable for comment and repeated calls and SMSes went unanswered. The actress's publicist, when contacted, didn't categorically deny the news and guided us to her international agent Simone Sheffield. Simone Sheffield was not available for comment.

This sizzling bong beauty Bipasha Basu has never before looked so fit, the actress lately has been flaunting great figure that can carry any outfit easily. Her awesome looks and perfect figure is making everyone jealous.

However we have news that the actress is no longer in a mood to wear a bikini on screen. According to bips wearing a bikini on screen is too tiring. A bikini requires every inch of your body to look great.

Bipasha who created Ripples in Dhoom 2 is no longer willing to give in to the pressures of looking fit. Wearing a bikini requires a lot of effort she says.
