A beaming Shagun wore her Miss India World-wide crown with an emerald green floor length satin drape gown with a long train, a necklace and chandelier earrings in green and clear crystals.

Shagun Sarabhai, a 20-year-old Mumbai homeopathy student was crowned Miss India Worldwide in Johannesburg at a glittering gala event, Sunday early morning hours, February 24.

Shagun beat contestants from 17 other countries. After winning the crown she told HT City, “If offers come my way from Bollywood, I’m going to accept them, yes, but I’m also studying medicine and I’ll definitely try to blend both.”

The winner booty included $5,000 in cash, gold and diamond jewelry, designer garments and a laptop computer.

Preity won the Gr8 Special Laurel Award. She said: “It feels fantastic to get an award which is not film oriented. My message to all women is live life queen size.”

The Awards are an endeavor of the GR8! TV Magazine of the Indian Television Academy to honor women achievers across various disciplines, each year.

Preity wore a pewter metallic finish bateau neckline cocktail dress with cap sleeves. She wore a wide embellished belt on the waist to enhance the natural shape.

She matched her dress with dazzling high heeled peep toe pumps made of a reflective material.

Just like her dress and the pumps, her clutch was also made of glass like reflective material.
